Nearly 200 representatives of Chinese and foreign institutions, experts and scholars gathered in Guangzhou to discuss the high-quality development of vocational education in the world in the context of global educational changes.
Oscar Prat Van Thiel, President of the World Skills Development Alliance, pointed out in his welcome speech that the European region is vigorously promoting the digitisation of vocational education, and governments and educational institutions are working in concert to accelerate transformation through policy guidance and strategic investment. At the same time, some European Chinese enterprises facing the pressure of talent demand have prompted Europe to increase the depth of cooperation with other countries. The Alliance expects to further build a bridge between China and Europe for education cooperation, integrate European digital curriculum construction experience with China's rich and diversified vocational education resources, and jointly build a high-quality vocational education digital platform with an international perspective, buttressing the needs of the industry, and keeping up with the pace of the times.
At the conference, the ‘Curriculum Standards and Digital Curriculum Development Project for the Hungarian National Vocational Education Digital Resource Library’ was launched, and we awarded the first 50 preparatory units.
This conference is a concrete manifestation of the deepening of educational cooperation between Europe and China. The World Skills Development Alliance is ready to continue its efforts to deepen economic and trade cooperation and humanistic exchanges between Europe and China.
